Daniela Součková studied at the Prague Conservatory with Prof. Jaroslav Foltýn and at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Prague with Prof. Ivan Štraus. A frequent European prize-winner, she was a laureate in 1995 in the Kocian International Violin Competition; in 1996 1st prize-winner in the Trio category at the International Competition Concertino Praga; In 1998 3rd prize-winner at the Beethoven International Violin Competition in Hradec nad Moravicí "Beethoven‘s Hradec" and in 2003 1st prize-winner and the prize for the best performance of a composition by Martinu in the Competition Bohuslav Martinů.
Daniela participated in masterclasses with Andrés Cardenes, Ulf Hoelscher, Ilja Kaler and Ruggiero Ricci. Each year from 1997 to 1999 and in 2003 she received a scholarship to the International Masterclasses in Semmering (Austria); from 2001 to 2003 to Masterclasses in Meadowmount School of Music (State of New York, U.S.A.) and in 2004 to Montpellier (France) as a student of Prof. Stephen Shipps. In 2002 and 2003 she gave concerts in the U.S.A. as a chamber musician with Pinchas Zuckerman and Ulf Hoelscher. Daniela has recorded for Czech Radio and Czech TV and frequently performs in the Czech Republic as well as abroad.
Since 2005 she has taught regularly at the International Music Academy in Pilsen.
In June 2008 Daniela Součková became the new Škampa Quartet second violinist.
